Edgee: 140 characters are few but a blog is too much

It comes from Berlin and is called Edgee: it is the new content creation platform halfway between Twitter and a traditional blog complete with text content, images and embeddable media. What’s new is a completely new way to create and share content: you can create edgees, a collection of texts, images, articles, GIFs, and videos that can be organized as you see fit into the various fashion, food, art, and business categories.

Currently, more than fifty thousand users are waiting in line (in fact, access is by invitation only) to join the beta version: the founders intend for Edgee to bridge the gap between tweets that are too short and posts that are too long, by reaching agreements with publishers also and above all to differentiate itself from other better-known and better-structured platforms like Tumblr.
