Hello Netflix! Internet TV is coming to Italy. The first series produced will be Suburra

Netflix, the most popular internet TV service in the world that has existed since 1997, is now bringing its streaming to Italy. Born as a DVD and video game rental service, since 2008 it has gradually transformed into the online streaming service it is today.

The great anticipation is therefore over from today: our country’s catalogue includes 80% international titles and 20% local titles defined as “broad international”. Series produced by Netflix and already broadcast in Italy by other channels such as Orange is the New Black and House of Cards will not be available, but the big news is that Netflix in Italy will produce Suburra, the ten-episode series created by Cattleya in collaboration with Rai.

THREE SUBSCRIPTION PLANS

There will be three subscription plans: a Basic one, with which you can use the service on one standard definition device at a time, at a cost of 7.99 euros per month. The Standard plan, on the other hand, will cost 9.99 euros with the possibility of opening two streams simultaneously and in HD; finally, the Premium will allow you to open four streaming sessions simultaneously and in Ultra HD 4k format, for 11.99 euros. In any case, the first month of streaming will be free for all users.
